Memorial Listings
We are aware of many local memorials, plaques and tablets commemorating fire service personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty. These range from major public monuments to smaller plaques in churches, town halls or fire stations. Some remain well maintained, while others have fallen into disrepair or been forgotten.
Although no longer active, the Firemen Remembered scheme installed plaques across London honouring those who died tackling air‑raid fires during World War II.
