About the memorial

Located on a Living Memorial complex in Rettenden, Essex, this tribute has been created to commemorate and honour those members of the fire service who have lost their lives in the line of duty as well as those who have passed away during or after their period of service.

It sits alongside other memorials dedicated to various military and civilian services and is the initiative of the 'Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle Club, England 4 Chapter'.
