Memorials Dedicated to UK Firefighters - Your Help Needed

The Trust is pleased to launch a new section on this site, for the listing of any memorial, no matter how small or where located, dedicated to the firefighters remembered and honoured in this Book of Remembrance or as may be dedicated to the work of firefighters in general. memorials in the form of small plaques in fire stations and headquarters, churches, town halls, graveyards, street and building walls and in public spaces have existed for many years. 

Some sadly though have become forgotten or neglected to the point of being in a state of disrepair and perhaps therefore no longer honour those remembered or reflect the intent those who who felt it appropriate to create them in the first place.

Can you help us create a record of such tributes, preferably with an image/images, an accurate location and the reason for the tribute? 

Some tributes are now hidden from public viewing and some are known to have been removed and placed in storage.

Not only do we believe that having a record of all of these tributes and symbols of remembrance, but being advised of these and their general condition may allow us to find a way of encouraging the work to have those in a poor state put back to a more fitting condition.
